Visual Bible Timeline (“VBT,” “we,” “us”) is a product of Sojourner LLC, operating the website at https://www.thevbt.com (TheVBT.com). This policy describes how we handle personal information when you use the site or reader.

What we collect

• Account data: such as email address and name when you sign up or sign in.
• Reading progress: information tied to your account so we can sync your place in the library.
• Billing: subscription and purchase status are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Technical data: such as IP address, device/browser type, and security logs as needed to run and protect the service.

How we use information

We use the above to provide and improve the reader, authenticate you, process payments, send service-related emails (such as password reset when enabled), protect against abuse, and comply with law.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in sessions, preferences (for example theme), and security. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may limit sign-in or features.

Service providers

We rely on trusted third-party service providers for hosting, database infrastructure, payment processing, and transactional email. Each provider is bound by data processing agreements and their own privacy policies. We select providers that meet or exceed industry-standard security practices.

Retention

We keep information as long as needed to operate the service and meet legal obligations. You may request account deletion where applicable; some records may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as billing disputes).
